Root Canals
Root Canal. The mere mention of the words sends chills up and down your spine, right? Don’t worry. Our office provides a comfortable endodontic treatment that saves a tooth from extraction and keeps your smile healthy.
In some instances, a tooth may be badly decayed or infected and require root canal therapy. During this procedure, the inside of the tooth is treated. When the nerve or pulp of the tooth is damaged, the chance of further decay and infection is present. Bacteria can spread and cause an abscessed tooth. Additionally, complications such as swelling in the face or neck and bone loss around the tip of the root can occur. So during the root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside is cleaned, filled, and the tooth sealed.
